Bethlehem, PennsylvaniaThe first meeting of the board of directors of Mountain Bike Afghanistan is set to take place in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on June 12th. We are very excited to arrive at this important milestone in maturing our organization and extending our impact. Our board members come from all walks of life; some are former professional athletes, while others have a wealth of experience running successful organizations. But they all share the enthusiasm to help MTB Afghanistan achieve its mission to empower and enrich young Afghans' lives through the sport of cycling. A warm welcome and thank you to our directors for jumping on board to propel us forward. The inaugural meeting is also concurrent with the Southside Film Festival, an annual international screening of independent films from around the world. We are excited to enter Afghan Cycles, a newly released documentary film about the Afghan Women's National Cycling team in the festival.
